Pelare offers permanent hair removal through electrolysis. All treatment modalities are offered including thermolysis, galvanic, and blend which is a combination of thermolysis and galvanic. 

Permanent hair removal to multiple body areas including:

eyebrows, upper lip, chin, sideburns, hairline shaping, lower eyelids, nose, ears, cheeks, neck, breast, nipples, abdomen, happy trail, bikini, back, arms, underarms, hands, buttocks, groin, legs, feet, and toes. Also available: beard shaping. 

Courtney Champy has been a licensed New Jersey electrologist since May 6, 2019. She received her electrology certification from Berkowits School in 2018 after completing New Jersey’s required 600 hour curriculum. Courtney is a member of the American Electrology Association (AEA) and the Electrology Association of NJ (EANJ) since 2019. Courtney serves on the EANJ board as the secretary from June 2021 - present. Courtney additionally is Sterile Processing and Distribution (SPD) certified since May 2015 and maintains this certification. 

Background: Courtney Champy has graduated from Felician University with a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences. She has an extensive background in the medical field holding clinical and management roles in the dermatology and plastic surgery specialties for a total of 11 years experience. Courtney had the very fortunate experience of working alongside and learning from many great doctors. Her medical and cosmetic experience makes her especially adept and comfortable at “difficult” cases related to electrolysis including folliculitis, ingrown hair removal, hidradenitis, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and other skin conditions.

Courtney customizes your treatment plan based on the hairs in the treatment, your skin and reaction and tolerance. State of the art treatments are offered with the Apilus XCell electrolysis machine. 

 

Policies

24 hours notice is required for cancellations. In the event less than 24 hours notice is given for cancellations or if you are a no-show, then you will be charged a cancellation or no-show fee in the amount of the reserved treatment time rate. 

If you are sick please call to cancel your reservation. Thank you in advance!

Arrive at your reservation early or on time to ensure you receive your full treatment time. You are welcome to wait in your car or in either of the waiting areas if you arrive early. Additionally, Gregory’s Coffee is located next door where you may opt to wait instead.  

You and I are a team. You are making this commitment to achieve permanent hair removal and I am excited for you to get there. If you have questions or concerns please communicate them with me, your treatments may require adjustments. This is your time and I need you to respect that, it ensures we actually achieve permanent results together. 

If you are late for your reservation, you will be charged for the full treatment time. You may not be able to receive the full time if I am completely booked. If you are running late, please communicate this to me ASAP and we may be able to accommodate you or reschedule. 

I hold myself to a high professional standard of care. I do not discuss you or your case with anyone else, I respect your privacy on a personal and professional level. I follow HIPAA guidelines and will not share with anyone else that you receive treatment with me or any other details. I do follow universal infection prevention protocols and maintain a sanitary environment. 

You may be asked to move your appointment to squeeze in another client reservation. It is greatly appreciated by them and myself if you are able to do so (for example, sometimes moving a reservation by only 15 minutes or sometimes more may make enough of a gap to allow someone who requires a 30+ minute treatment to receive their necessary treatment). If you are unable to do so, that is completely understandable as you did choose the time that works best for you and your appointment will remain as reserved.

Payment is due at the time of treatment. 

I do not answer the phone during treatments, however, there may be a time of emergency or where I am expecting a call and need to take it. Please understand this, you will not be penalized for this rare occurrence and I appreciate your understanding and flexibility in this instance.  

COVID-19: Masks are optional at this time. I do continue to wear my mask while working on areas close to the face. In the case I am not wearing a mask and you prefer that I do, please ask me and I am happy to oblige. You are welcome to wear a mask if you are more comfortable, at this point I work around the mask extremely well for my facial patients. If you have signs or symptoms of covid please call to cancel your reservation.
